DRESSER (m/f/d) at the Stage Musical Theater Hamburg

For the Stage Musical Theater in Hamburg, we are looking for you to join us as soon as possible as:

DRESSER (m/f/d) – Part-time (15–35 hours/week)

Bühnenhaus Hamburg GmbH was founded in 2008. Our Hamburg-based team supports more than 90 professional dressers and textile care specialists at currently five theaters across Germany. As a growing company, we are always looking for new team members.

Your Responsibilities:

As a dresser, you are primarily responsible for ensuring that the performers are properly dressed for the show or changed during the performance. You are also responsible for looking after the costumes entrusted to you and repairing minor damage yourself.

  • Preparing costumes before the show
  • Dressing and assisting performers before and during the show
  • Checking costumes after the show
  • Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance
  • Cleaning (washing, ironing, care) of costumes and preparing them during day shifts (morning/afternoon)
  • Supporting rehearsals and promotional appearances
Qualifications:
  • Enjoy working with people
  • Open and friendly personality
  • Quick comprehension and ability to work independently
  • Team player
  • Flexible availability (evenings, weekends, daytime, public holidays)
  • Experience as a dresser, in tailoring, or similar training is an advantage but not required
  • Good knowledge of English is an advantage
